Since age 11, Kayla has held the CT State Champion title in the High Jump and Long Jump and has also earned the State AAU Champion title in the Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump. Her performances ranked her 1st on the National Elite Honor Roll in the AAU National Rankings in her age group for the Pentathlon.  In the 2012 Nutmeg State Games she successfully defended her title in the Long Jump and High Jump, also receiving a silver medal in the Shot Put and 100m dash. She also helped lead her basketball team to the gold medal game.  Currently, Kayla holds 8 Gold Medals from the Nutmeg State Games and tied the all time record in her age group with a 4’04 High Jump this past year.
